The Springfield Hellcat and Hellcat Pro have quickly risen in popularity among the concealed carry crowd. Featuring high capacity in a small, concealable profile, the Hellcat offers comfortable EDC and impressive accuracy for a 3-inch pistol. In fact, the Hellcat received the National Tactical Officers Gold Ranking in 2021. Now, Springfield adds eye-catching aesthetics with an exclusive two-tone Hellcat variant, available only through Sports South.
The Exclusive Springfield Armory Two-Tone Stainless Hellcat
The exclusive variant is available with a standard or OSP slide and features the same polymer frame as the original. However, the slide is upgraded to stainless steel, giving the exclusive variant a stylish two-tone look. In addition, the stainless slide is easier to clean, as it shows less holster wear and doesn’t pick up scuffing or marking as easily as a coated slide.
The standard model is for those who prefer iron sights and have no intention of adding an optic. The standard has no optic cut and therefore is slightly less expensive than the OSP model. However, the standard model features the same high-visibility tritium front sight, coupled with the rear U-Dot sight, as the original.
If you prefer to run optics on your concealed carry pistol, the OSP model is the right choice for you. The OSP features an optic cut that accepts direct mounting of a micro red dot in the Springfield Micro footprint. As a result, this allows for co-witnessing with the U-Dot sight system, with high-visibility tritium front sight and U-Dot rear sight. And, if you want to revert to iron sights, simply replace the dark, coated removable cover plate, adding to the two-tone aesthetic.
Like the original, this exclusive variant is chambered in 9mm and features a standard capacity of 11+1. Each Hellcat ships with both an 11-round magazine with pinky extension and optional flush-fit floorplate and a 13-round extended magazine.
“These new Sports South-exclusive Hellcats in stainless steel take everything that made the original Hellcat great and add an eye-catching two-tone look,” says Phil Rawlings, Vice President of Sales and LE for Springfield Armory. “These new Hellcat and Hellcat OSP pistols from Sports South make a great option for CCW and self-defense.”
The Springfield Armory Two-Tone Hellcat is available now with an MSRP of $614.00 for the standard model and $649.00 for the OSP. For more info, please visit Springfield-Armory.com or TheShootingWarehouse.com.
